Sara holds a BA in Lithographic Printmaking and Ceramics from Stonybrook University and an MBA from UF. Using Synthetic Landscapes, Sara transforms single use polymer packaging into abstracted terrain by emphasizing the three-dimensional shapes with color. The compositions highlight and distance themselves from the ordinary blow-mold plastic packaging found on most household items. The immense energy used to heat and compress granular polymer into machined shapes to protect products is immediately discarded by the consumer. Sara is fascinated by process, industry, the permanent and impermanent and strived to investigate her own relationship with convenience and consumption in this work.

Artwalk Gainesville is a self-guided art experience of local galleries, artist studios, and cultural events in Gainesville, Florida. Held the last Friday of each month, Artwalk Gainesville is an engaging, fun way to experience the wealth of creativity the Gainesville community has to offer.
